Area Rug Cleaning

Although your area rug may look clean, allergens, sand, dirt, dust and hair are all trapped in the fibers of your area rug... too deep for any vacuum to effectively penetrate.  Over time, the abrasive qualities dust, dirt and sand will shorten the life of your rug.  To remove this trapped dirt, it is recommended that you have your area rug professionally cleaned every few years, depending on the amount of wear and traffic.  Regular professional cleaning prolongs the life and beauty of your area rug potentially allowing it to last for many generations.

Rugs As Art, Inc. has been cleaning rugs for over 30 years. Utilizing an advanced multi-step cleaning process, we first begin by removing the debris that has collected in the area rug fibers.  This is followed by hand washing both sides with a fiber-safe cleaning solution. Rugs are then dried in a climate controlled environment (as opposed to sub drying) to prevent fading, etc.

The charge for our professional cleaning services is the most competitive in town. You can either drop your rugs off at one of our showrooms or simply contact us to schedule a pickup and delivery.

Area Rug Protector

Rug Protector and Sealant

If you are interested in protecting your rugs, we are proud to offer a state of the art fabric and rug protection. Used on the world's finest fabrics in luxury destinations, it is now offered as an affordable option for your home. The treatment is extremely durable and resists mechanical wear, tear and cleaning for many years, and also allows utilization of materials normally unsuited for high traffic environments. It is an effective protection on all types of fabrics and yarns, even the finest silks, without changing the texture or feel of the fabric.

Nanotechnology completely surrounds the microscopic holes within the carpet or fabric fibers. The fibers themselves are not altered by the formula, simply covered and protected by it. This allows the yarns to keep their natural appearance and properties while benefiting from the ultimate protection from stains and spills. Additionally, this treatment incorporates antimicrobial technology and acts biocidically to prevent the development and spread of bacteria, while also preventing dust, bacteria, and allergens from becoming embedded in your rug.
